Need an SEO consultant or agency but don’t know where to start? Below are a few questions to ask a potential SEO agency to determine if they are the right fit for you.
Do you offer ranking guarantees?
Any SEO agency that offers these types of guarantees are either inexperienced or trying to scam you. An experienced SEO would tell you that there is no way to guarantee a number one ranking considering nobody owns the search engines. Look for an agency that can guarantee increased traffic to your site, which will lead to higher sales.
Why is your own PageRank low?
There could be a number of responses to this question. Maybe it’s a new site, or maybe they are so busy working on client’s websites they haven’t had time to work on their own. Regardless, do not let a low ranking influence your decision.
Can you provide references and successful rankings?
Client testimonials are a great way to find out about a potential agency. Their list of successful rankings should have traffic for relatively common terms.
What services are provided in your pricing package?
A good SEO firm should be able to tell you exactly what types of services are offered and the pricing of those services upfront. Avoid anyone who is vague on this topic.

If you’re a professional in your field, I’m sure you are all too familiar with the conference scene. Some see conferences as a getaway from the usual day to day office life. Others see them as time wasted that could have been used doing something much more productive. Depending on the conference you’re going to, it could be a little bit of both. However, workshops, seminars and conferences can give you the chance to take time out of your busy life to focus exclusively on some aspect of your business, free from interruptions and distractions. If you’re just starting out workshops can give you a crash course, or if you’ve been at it awhile, they’re a great tune-up. You can come away with some new strategies, extra motivation or a look at the basics with fresh eyes. Here are some basic tips to get the most out of your conference.
Have a game plan
Conferences tend to have one thing in common, they throw a tremendous amount of information at you at once. As a result, if you don’t have a plan on what you want to focus on while there, you could walk away with absolutely nothing, which would be a complete waste of your time.
Networking
I think this is pretty much a given. While at a conference with many like minded people you are bound to run into many individuals that could be potential business opportunities in the future. In order to take full advantage of this networking scene make sure you follow a few simple rules
-Wear your name tag (preferably on your right side)
-Describe yourself or your business in less than 10 seconds
-Don’t do all the talking, listen as much as you talk
-Don’t linger in one place for too long
-Follow up on your connections once the event is over
Follow these simple tips and you are sure to maximize your conference time.
Communication will be key after the conference once you start following up with the contacts you made while there. GoFaxer can help enhance your communications with others in your field by offering online fax services. In the new trend of businesses trying to become more efficient, or possibly more eco-friendly, the effort to become paperless has increased. Still unsure if going paperless is for you, or even how to go about it? Listed below are a few benefits of going paperless, and how to work towards achieving that goal
The most obvious benefit would have to be the cost savings. The time it takes an employee to print and retrieve paper documents adds up tremendously over a years time. In addition, there is the cost of having to store all of those paper files.
Other benefits include increased security, better disaster recovery protection, environmental benefits and remote access for your important documents.
Don’t worry about all of your current files. One step towards going paperless is to choose a document imaging system. They include tools to help you convert paper records into electronic files. GoFaxer can also help you on your way to achieving a paperless office. By implementing an online fax service in your office you will no longer have to use paper to receive your faxes. All you need is an internet connection, and all of your faxes will be delivered to you via the internet. Contact GoFaxer today for more details.

Parallels Desktop for Mac and Microsoft Expression Professional Subscription are joining together. What does this mean? It means that Mac users will be able to use Microsoft’s Expression Studio to design desktop and web-based graphical interfaces. This move also further strengthens the relationship between Parallels and Microsoft.
Parallels Desktop for Mac allows users to run Windows on any Intel Mac.
“Including Parallels Desktop for Mac in the Microsoft Expression Subscription gives designers a valuable tool for working across platforms,” said Serguei Beloussov, CEO of Parallels. “It is further evidence of the productivity benefits that our virtualization software offers customers, and strengthens our ongoing partnership with Microsoft.”
Sound like something you might be interested in? You won’t have to wait long. The Microsoft Expression Professional Subscription will be available from Microsoft in June 2008, the price $999. And with over 1,000,000 copies of Parallels Desktop for Mac being sold so far, Microsoft Expressions Professional Subscription is expected to be a hit. Or at least Wayne Smith, group product manager of Expression Studio at Microsoft, thinks so,” This combination opens up Microsoft software products to Mac-based designers, which will widen the options for those wanting to design for the Microsoft platform including Silverlight.”
There are always new ways to enhance your computer’s features to work for you. One of those ways is by tossing the fax machine and receiving you faxes online! Contact GoFaxer about online fax services.

Project Wonderland is an open-source toolkit for building virtual worlds. They have already improved telecommunications in business by building online replicas of offices or classrooms where individuals can use 3D representations of themselves to attend meetings, classes, etc.The toolkit comes with a prebuilt office environment, but developers who want to design their own world can download instructions on how to do so.
Green Phosphor, a user of Project Wonderland, have taken things a step further by using a business data-mapping application, giving 3D illustrations of data graphs inside virtual world. This gives the user the feel of physically standing in the middle of a spreadsheet.
Wonderland has also differentiated themselves from the competition by adding an audio aspect to the virtual world. With this feature, an individual can more realistically participate in a conference call, class, or presentation. The audio feature has the capability of allowing an individual to be the main speaker by moving themselves in front of the microphone, or you can have a quiet conversation with the individual next to you. There are even private rooms you can use to have side conversations away from the group.
Much like Project Wonderland, GoFaxer is always working to provide new and efficient online services for your business. Contact GoFaxer about our online fax services today.

In a bold move towards revamping the methods used to deliver office software, Microsoft may soon begin streaming office software to user desktops. According to Microsoft, this new method would ensure users would only use parts of the Office suite they need, allowing for price calibration and new methods for deploying software across large companies. It would also allow for monthly service charges to be incurred and for product updates to be instantaneously delivered to every office user within a company.
“Streaming software” is not a new concept amongst providers of office and productivity suites. Rather, Microsoft is begrudgingly giving in to providing these offerings as the result of competitors, such as Google, changing office offerings to suit emerging technologies. Undercutting shrink-wrapped software offerings could change the nature of software distribution.
GoFaxer is already on top of the changing trends for software and online service delivery. We provide a seamless method for turning your office into a paperless, fax-ready environment that integrates with other forms of office communications. Inquire about our online fax services today.

Industry leaders Google and IBM have started preliminary testing of a “cloud computing” infrastructure that could expedite the delivery of software and services to customers and business clients. Through the use of cloud computing, the two major online service providers will be able to track the exact level of computing resources each client application uses. With this data in hand, more efficient hardware and software configuration will result, leading to overall cost savings.
Amazon, another provider of online services such as online auctions and data retention, employs a cloud computing system known as “EC2″ to deploy business applications. Doing so allows the company to charge businesses for the exact percentage of resources used by their services.
Cloud computing is one of a variety of technologies turning the web into an interactive provider of fast, efficient services. Soon, nearly all business related communications will be driven by Internet-based applications and on-demand providers.
Online services and calibrated pricing has become the norm for internet providers such as GoFaxer. Find out more about our superior fax service by browsing our site.
