Business today is beginning to be conducted in a whole new way in keeping with the digital era. Many aspects of business have shifted away from their traditional ways in favor of more convenient and cost effective methods that take full advantage of available technologies. For instance, the fax machine is on its way to becoming obsolete. The mode of online fax has readied itself to take its place.
Nobody likes to have to run around looking for toner or paper with a very urgent fax message hanging in the balance. Regardless of whether it was an urgent fax or not, this meant precious time was wasted as you stood in the long lines in the hallway trying to desperately get the machine to work. I’m sure employers could think of many other ways they would rather their employees spend their time than standing in line at the fax machine. Not to mention the inconvenience of misplaced faxes!
Of course, things are different now. A business can now use an internet fax service to make their communications much more effective and efficient. Any business can now pay a reasonable fee to receive their own toll free fax number that operates through their already established internet connection.
The money saved on eliminating the now unnecessary dedicated phone line can usually make up for new expenses. Upgrading to online fax is not at all expensive and the hassles of the fax machine are eliminated.
Online fax also eliminates the problems listed above. No more waiting for the fax machine, any employee can conduct all of their fax related business right at their desks. And forget about misplaced faxes, all faxes will be sent directly to an online database for your retrieval.
You also have to consider just how handy this will be for people who don’t work the typical nine-to-five office hours. The convenience of online faxing will be even more apparent to the person who does a lot of traveling.
With all of the benefits of online fax, there is no doubt that the fax machine is increasingly becoming more and more obsolete. Don’t let your home office or business become obsolete as well. Contact GoFaxer today to learn about online fax services available.

Parallels Desktop for Mac and Microsoft Expression Professional Subscription are joining together. What does this mean? It means that Mac users will be able to use Microsoft’s Expression Studio to design desktop and web-based graphical interfaces. This move also further strengthens the relationship between Parallels and Microsoft.
Parallels Desktop for Mac allows users to run Windows on any Intel Mac.
“Including Parallels Desktop for Mac in the Microsoft Expression Subscription gives designers a valuable tool for working across platforms,” said Serguei Beloussov, CEO of Parallels. “It is further evidence of the productivity benefits that our virtualization software offers customers, and strengthens our ongoing partnership with Microsoft.”

Yahoo Inc. is joining McAfee Inc. in an effort to offer a feature that would alert users of potentially dangerous Web sites alongside their search results. This alert would be illustrated with a red exclamation point and a warning message located near the link that has been deemed dangerous.
McAfee has singled out specific sites, particularly those sites that attempt “drive-by downloads,” or trying to automatically install malicious code on visitors’ computers by exploiting coding flaws in their Web browsers. Yahoo users won’t even see links from these types of sites.
This is all in an effort by yahoo to enhance safety features, and assist in making the consumer more secure in their websurfing.
“When a user gets a set of search results, there’s really no indication of who’s a good guy and who’s a bad guy,” said Tim Dowling, vice president of McAfee’s Web Security Group. “You’re really leaping off a platform of faith that you’re clicking on a site that’s safe and not one that’s bad. And the bad guys really try hard to look good.”
GoFaxer can offer the convenience of online fax along with client security. All of your important faxes are delivered and stored in your email box, and no one but you has access to that information. Contact GoFaxer for more information.

In a competitive business environment, cost savings for mass communications, such as faxing, can have drastic effects on your businesses bottom line. When your fax volume is considerable, saving even a few cents per send can make for considerable savings. For this reason, many businesses are investigating so-called “free fax” alternatives currently active on the Internet.
Free fax alternatives are an amazing development that shows the ingenuity of Internet commerce. For personal applications, the ability to send the occasional fax without incurring the cost or hassle of operating a fax machine can be a godsend. However, businesses should reconsider taking the plunge using free fax services.
Because free services are ad-supported, the cover pages of each fax sent through such services usually includes an advertisement that distracts from your business’ brand. In addition, the tools necessary for contact management and swift fax-sending are often lacking or are not employed by free fax services. Often, the simplistic interfaces associated with free fax services negate their overall cost savings.
Services such as GoFaxer provide incredible cost savings, efficiency, and professional service at an affordable cost. Contact us today to begin revolutionizing your office faxing efficiency.
