A survey by Visa reveals that small businesses have the exact same attitudes towards cash management as large businesses. This survey is outlined in an AllBusiness.com article:

“These findings indicate that small businesses have similar goals as their large-market counterparts - efficiency, integration and information handling - in their cash flow management,” said David Cramer, senior vice president, commercial solutions, Visa USA.

This article points out that many companies are accepting payment cards rather than checks, in an effort to improve the speed of receiving payment for their services.

This demonstrates a trend by small businesses become savvy to the need for technology to maintain competitively and maximize performance. Efficiency is no longer a catch phrase of big business. It is now the mantra of every owner of a smart business.
