Email Fax: No More Paper; No More Projects
I hate hand-outs, flyers, notifications, memos. I hate having to find a place for them. I like my life simple and easy to manage. Every time I’m handed a piece of paper I’m handed a project—where to put that piece of paper. I like my desk without clutter, without papers to file away and store.
Plus, paper is messy and you feel like you have to wash your hands after touching lots of paper. Then your hands get dried out from washing them so much. Take this to a business where you have lots of paper around. Some of that paper is even a security threat - it contains information you want to be kept confidential.
So skip that and notice the difference when you open your email box and find your first email fax. Eureka! It’s just an email with an attachment. You click on the attachment, a pdf file that you can look at, ignore, delete, store away, and print (heaven forbid) if you so desire. Receiving a fax is now on your turf. You can play by your rules. Because nine times out of ten, you don’t need to print up every fax you get. You just need the info.
Any opportunity to have the information without the mess of paper is an inspired technological innovation. Email fax is a movement that we can all get behind.
