Fax to Email: A Need, Not a Want
I read an interesting report at BusinessWeek.com about the lagging sales projections for Apple sales in the coming year. The simple fact is that no one really needs one of those fancy iPhones, although everyone would certainly like one. But with a recession heavily possible, and a slowdown eminent, no one’s guessing that this high end brand will do well in the coming months.
As your looking at your small business, and determining where to put your money, especially with the economy as iffy as it seems to be, it’s not time to spend money on wants. Fancy perks for your employees are not a must.
You want to find those areas that are genuine needs for your business, where you’ll see an immediate financial benefit from their purchase. Fax to email is a perfect example of this. It’s less expensive than owning a fax machine, it’s infinitely easier. It will cut down on your total office work, especially if you happen to be in a business that sends and receives a lot of faxes.
So hold off for the next few months to years on the iPhone. It isn’t going anywhere, and if you make smart business decisions in the coming months, neither will you.
