We live in an era of unprecedented opportunities for women in the business place. It used to be that there were men’s jobs and women’s jobs, and never did the two meet. But now women can do anything and be anything that they want in the business world.

There is one minor glitch to this however. Even though many women want the opportunity to work, many also don’t want to forfeit their right to have a family. Having a child is one of those almost essential elements to the human experience. But how do you work that baby into your meeting schedule? As long as businesses are tied to offices, with office machinery, it will always be hard for women to balance work and family.

But technological innovations are moving right along with social advancement. Now there’s email. There’s conference calling. There’s fax to email.

Businesses are able to offer their employees greater flexibility than ever before. You want to work from home today? No problem. You want to work on your laptop while your daughter is in her dance class? No problem. You want to write emails while you feed your hungry new infant? No problem.

It’s a great time for the liberated woman. The business environment will be better off for this.
