Going Green Ideas
Regular readers of this blog know that I’m all about going green. Partly because it’s good for the world which we live in. And partly because Leonardo Di’Caprio is and he’s cool. I’m kidding.
But I’m not kidding about the importance of going green. As far as I’m concerned, paper is a total waste of money. I want everything digital on my laptop or mobile phone.
Here’s a few other suggestions offered by World Watch Institute:
Walk or bike, or ditch the whole commute completely and work from home. You really don’t need to go into work if you’ve got a phone, remote desktop, and an Internet fax account.
Buy as much as you can used. For one thing, it’s good for the world to use things longer, but retro is also in. I’m a big fan of furniture from the 50’s and 60’s. Why buy Ikea that looks like this period, when you can buy a much better version of the same design from the era that invented modern?
You can shop at your local market. The less gas used to get the food to you, the better for the world.
Start a compost pile. This might sound a little farmy for some of you, but it’s not a bad idea.
Be sure to read the other super ideas and go green.
