I realize that we still need paper products. We all have many physical products which need to be shipped in a nice sturdy box. And upon occasion we will have the need of printing something up on paper. I still like reading books and magazines.
But I do think that too many people cling to other uses of paper, for things that are no longer necessary.
For example, do you keep a “to do” list on a note pad, post-it notes, paper bound organizer, etc? Or do you keep it on a word document on your computer? Do you still use a fax machine or do you use an email fax service?
I, myself, am more inclined to avoid paper in any way possible. Why do I like it better?
For one thing, I have a really cool computer. It’s a small, sleek, white laptop with the apple insignia on it, which as you may notice in all TV shows and movies, is the symbol that the character using the computer is cool. Nerdy characters always use a Dell. But that’s just my opinion.
My point is that I like using my computer. It’s fun and cool. It’s personalized with fun screen savers. Everything is organized the way I like it.
Perhaps if you’re having a hard time weaning yourself away from paper, you just need a better computer, one that fits your personal preferences and sense of style. You won’t miss paper, I promise!
