Did you know that the one of the best and easiest things you can do for your business is to get rid of your fax machine? I know. Fax machines are a staple of the modern era office. But it’s a new world my friends. The Internet is here, and it’s time to move on.
“But I still have clients who use fax machines,” you say. Well, don’t worry about that. There’s now something called Internet fax that lets us send and receive faxes without using a fax machine. Rather than using the phone line, it’s all done through the Internet connection.
It’s faster than fax. You can send and receive more than one fax at one time. And compared with the cost of the machine, the upkeep expense, and the cost of supplies, it’s much less expensive. It doesn’t even require the downloading of software. It’s all-accessible online with your browser.
Fax machines are going extinct. So don’t keep spending money on a dead horse. Give it a nice funeral and bury it. You can have a little ceremony outside of your office. Invite a few coworkers to say a few kind words. And say goodbye to your old friend. You won’t miss it.

You know, I don’t want to talk you into using Internet fax. If something is worth doing the evidence should present itself with very little controversy. And so allow me to present just a few points to consider about this new technology and how it can affect your small business’s office.
- You can send and receive more than one fax at one time. This means that your customers won’t ever get a busy signal, and you’ll never get a busy signal from your customers.
- You won’t need to pay for a new fax machine. You won’t have to pay for the repair of your fax machine.
- You will never have to buy paper for documents going out as a fax. You can create the document as a digital document and send it as a digital document. This will save you a great deal of money on paper.
- You won’t have to buy toner for a fax machine ever again.
- You can send faxes from anywhere that you have access to the Internet. You can send faxes from home, on business trips, or from the coffee shop.
- Internet fax, like all technologies that allow you to go paperless, is good for the environment. You can even tout it in your public relations literature as noble efforts to go green.
All in all, the choice is certainly yours. Good luck.

You’ve probably seen that coworker who has not embraced the new paperless millennium. You look at her desk and it’s covered in papers. She prints up every email she gets. She looks cluttered.
Now, maybe her methods work for her, as she claims, but they are behind the times. Modern companies are understanding the huge cost of paper and office supplies. The more that each coworker can organize their entire operation to a single computer, the more efficient they will be both in time, and cost to their company.
This is why so many companies are turning to email fax as a new way to avoid using fax machines. These machines were revolutionary for their time. They enabled people to send messages and documents over long distances in a matter of minutes. No more need for the mail. But in the nineties that all changed, with the advent of the Internet and email.
Nowadays, a few minutes to send a document is still too long. We can send it in seconds. It should be easier; it should be faster; and should be less expensive. This is what the market demands because your competitors are doing it.
So it’s time for all of those paper-reliant workers and businesses to make some fundamental changes to the way that they do business.
