Many people around the country, whether or not they are directly involved in business stocks or not, have been carefully watching the interactions of Yahoo and Microsoft lately. Microsoft Corp., of Windows fame, had previously made a bit to buy out Yahoo for $33 a share. Yahoo insisted that it was worth several dollars more per share, which ultimately put the $44.6 billion dollar bid back in limbo. Yahoo was under considerable scrutiny from its shareholders, with some even filing lawsuits.
Now, Microsoft has announced that it is officially moving forward in other directions. Having tired of waiting for Yahoo to decide, or to budge on its high price demands, Microsoft recently announced that it is dropping its offer to buy internet giant Yahoo. Microsoft has a strong presence in the realm of operating systems, but pairing with Yahoo would have brought the online and offline worlds together.
A merger, or a buyout, can mean considerable change for any company. Another important change is updating your office technology. If this is the stage your business is at, consider online fax your next important step. GoFaxer lets you send and receive faxes without the extra machines, phone lines, maintenance, electricity and paper. GoFaxer internet faxing is virtually hassle-free. When Microsoft’s next Security Bulletin comes out, scheduled for June 10, the company is expected to fix seven security weaknesses that have recently come to light as of late. These flaws, which are divided between categories of critical, important, and moderate, number seven in all. Issuing security updates is nothing new for Microsoft and other large computer companies. Users with “automatic update” enabled will be alerted of the updates. They will then have the option of installing or running these updates, after which the system will guide them through any steps necessary to fix this vulnerabilities.
These seven flaws may not be apparent to the average user of Microsoft products. One allows false web pages to create a weakness on the user’s computer only after the page is printed. Several of the other fixes will allow Microsoft to patch areas of certain programs, including Bluetooth and Internet Explorer, which had been vulnerable to malicious code.
By offering these Security Updates, Microsoft is helping its users stay on top of their every day duties without disruption. GoFaxer believes in helping your business do your job better, too. Our online fax product is easier than ever. With GoFaxer, you’ll be sending faxes with speed and ease that were unheard of in the days of conventional fax machines.

In many ways, various sectors of the United States economy are interrelated. Trends in business spending and consumer spending may often mirror or contrast one another in measurable ways. Recently, two of the highest issues on the public mind are the housing market and energy prices. While these two may seem unrelated, they both have an influence on a trend that affects not only the living situation of families, but the choices of businesses as well.
On the consumer side, many home buyers are moving in to smaller houses that are more in line with their budgets, as well as being more energy efficient. The business world is not dissimilar. Many companies are moving away from the decadent downtown lobby or sprawling corporate greens in favor of more basic, organized and efficient offices. And with internet technology having become so advanced, more employees than ever are telecommuting by working directly from home.
So how do you coordinate something like faxing when your employees are working from multiple or remote occasions? With GoFaxer, you don’t need a centralized fax machine. You just need internet access to use our simple online fax product. Just as the location of your office, the way you do your faxing can be more efficient with regards to space, energy, and budget. Try GoFaxer’s risk free trial today.

If you’re looking to save money by reducing the amount of office supplies your company consumes in a month, think of the choices you make in your own home, then try to apply them to your business. While this may not work for things like elevators and time clocks, the break room is an excellent place to make changes that will positively impact your budget and bottom line.
One of the simplest ways to save money in your break room is to eliminate disposables where real supplies would suffice. Do you use styrofoam cups for your coffee? Is there usually a stack of paper plates or disposable silverware for people to use? Investing in a set of company mugs and some cheap metal silverware, and providing a simple scrub brush and soap will save money in the long run. Also consider recycling, and use the profit from cans to buy your employees a special treat.
There are may other ways to make smarter choices that save money in the office, all while making things more efficient. GoFaxer’s online faxing is another way to accomplish these goals. With no machines or phone lines to maintain, and with paper faxes only when you choose to print, you will most certainly save money on supplies. And on top of that, GoFaxer is much more convenient than a conventional fax machine anyway!

Dell has reported increased earnings in the first fiscal quarter of this year. The report came this Thursday, announcing that their revenue has significantly increased worldwide, and that their notebook computers have been selling particularly well, and thus driving some of the rise in profitability and sales. According to Dell, their total product shipments are 22 percent higher this year than last year. And notebooks, as the leading Dell product of 2008, have increased 43 percent since 2007.
This increase in sales has allowed Dell to post a 9 percent profit increase, up to $16 billion, from the same period last year. The company said that its primary customers continue to be individual consumers and large businesses. Individual consumers are particularly strong buyers in the fall as high school and college students head back to school. Large businesses are important clients to Dell when they update office-wide technology to more up to date laptops.
If you’re looking for ways to bring your office technology up to date, try the fax to email service from GoFaxer. Not only is internet faxing more efficient, but it can be much more affordable as well. With GoFaxer, there is no bulky machine, phone lines, wasted paper or even software to download. Consumers are constantly told of the benefits of buying in bulk. Is buying in bulk right for your company? As with most business advice, it varies depending on the unique needs of your business, but here is some general advice to keep in mind. First of all, buying in bulk is not always a deal. One store may advertise bulk prices on products that are actually cheaper in smaller quantities at a different outlet.
Secondly, keep in mind the practical limitations of your workspace. If you have limited storage space, it will be easier to buy many pens than chairs. Lastly, consider the timeliness of some office supplies. Buying 40 toners for a printer that will soon be replaced is not the wisest choice. However, most offices will never stop needing things like coffee filters and paper, so stocking up when they go on sale is a good idea.
That said, as workplaces become more and more technologically advanced, paper is in far less demand. GoFaxer is on the cutting edge of progress that lets you use your paper, and more importantly your time, more efficiently. Internet faxing from GoFaxer is a simple way to cut costs and increase the ease and efficiency of nearly every aspect of your business.

Workstation ergonomics are a key aspect to healthy work in the modern office. The U.S. Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) has some key points of advice for people who spend much of their time at a desk in front of a computer. These help you work without putting undue strain on your body, which in turns makes you more comfortable and effective at your work.
OSHA advises keeping the space on and under your desk free of clutter. The monitor should go directly in front of your face at eye level or just below. You should be able to reach your keyboard and mouse without stretching your arms too far forward. Maintain an upright posture with a chair that supports your lower back, and rest your feet flat on the floor. A wrist guard for your keyboard and mouse can help you remember to keep your wrists straight and protected.
Workplace ergonomics help minimize the stress on employee’s bodies. GoFaxer helps minimize the stress on a business’s resources and patience. Our online faxing service requires no phone lines or software. You can send multiple faxes at once, and we even filter spam faxes. Just as a good workstation supports employee productivity, GoFaxer is an excellent way to create an office environment that supports the structure and success of your company.
